Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, released a brand-new poster on the occasion of Ram Navami, kicking off the film’s promotional campaign after getting harsh criticism for its teaser last year. However, new issues have arisen for the Adipurush team as a complaint has been made against the director and producer.
As per reports, the FIR has been filed regarding the new poster for hurting the religious sentiments of people by depicting a figure from Hindu mythology inappropriately.
According to his complaint, Sanjay stated that Adipurush is based on the biography of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram from the religious book Ramcharitmanas. He alleged that the new poster of the film shows Lord Ram in a costume contrary to the natural spirit and nature of Ramcharitmanas.
According to the report by a leading news agency, the complainant further asserts that none of the Ramayana’s characters is wearing the Janeu, a garment with special significance in Hindu Sanatana Dharma. An FIR has been filed under Sections 295 (A), 298, 500, and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.
A brand-new Adipurush poster, starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, and Devdatta Nage, was revealed by the movie’s makers on March 30, the auspicious day of Ram Navami. The film also stars Saif Ali Khan and is directed by Om Raut. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on June 16.
