November 2022 NPD results: Hardware and software details, plus more

The NPD data for November 2022 has come in, and we’ve got a look at industry-wide numbers for gaming here in North America. First up, let’s take a look at the top 20 software sales for the month. Please remember that Nintendo doesn’t report digital sales, so any Nintendo games shown on the chart below only include physical sales.

Along with that, we have some details on hardware sales. PlayStation 5 took the #1 spot in terms of units sold and dollar amount, while Switch came in second for both categories. For the year, Switch is still leading in terms of units sold, which means this battle is going to come down to the wire. December’s results will show us whether Switch can hold onto the lead for all of 2022, or if PS5 can eek out a victory.

Following that, we also have details on overall industry figures for November 2022 and the year so far.
