PlayStation Showcase Set To Happen Before Summer Game Fest

Amid E3 2023’s cancelation publishers have started to announce their showcases. Now, Jeff Grubb has revealed that a PlayStation Showcase is set to happen before the Summer Game Fest. SGF begins on June 8, so we can expect the showcase to happen the same day or before it.

PlayStation Showcase Before SGF Revealed – First Look at Spider-Man 2 Gameplay Soon?

Even before the cancelation of E3, PlayStation revealed that they won’t be present at it, instead, they’ll have their showcase. While not official, Grubb has revealed the already-rumored showcase will take place before the Summer Game Festival. However, the confirmed date and time are yet to be revealed.

The PlayStation Showcase has real hype around it as it might give us the first look at Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay. The title is one of the year’s most anticipated incoming releases, and PlayStation has hardly shown anything except an early trailer. With the release planned for Fall 2023, June would be the perfect time to display what Insomniac has in store for us.

At this point, everything is pure speculation, so nothing, for now, is confirmed. Moreover, there’s the Wolverine game too. All it did was come and disappear since the 2021 announcement trailer. There are other titles too like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth which releases in winter 2023, Silent Hill 2, and TLOU Multiplayer.

Of course, PlayStation isn’t the only big gun planning its showcase in June. Xbox and Ubisoft are also set to make rounds with titles of their own. Ubisoft has Avatar, and Xbox has Starfield as THEIR games for the year. It would also be interesting to hear more about Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
